President Lora’s Project For Our Club

Last year we sent out a questionnaire for members to complete regarding our strategic plan. Many members noted that they wanted to see a new International project for the club.
In researching this, I looked into Rotary’s focus, which is to “advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty”.The project I would like our club to undertake can literally change and save lives.Don Lincoln assisted in researching and vetting this project, noting the importance of having funds go to the intend purpose.  We also like the project because of its continuity with Past Presidents Ted Rutter and Pat Stouffer “chickens” involvement. We are going to help the children and people of Haiti. We will visit the project in February.  The exact dates will be posted in the next few weeks.
I’m going to ask you to give your greatest gift – your time and personal efforts to meet the needs
of those who live in poverty, hopelessness and facing despair in Haiti. You can Read More about this Project at Hopestartinternational.com
